- What it takes to build a championship team?(football)
- In this film I will include interviewing coaches and players about how a championship team is built and what it takes to be a championship team. I will also interview the Athletic Director and college athletes about connecting with coach and players.
- What teachers think about tests for students, beneficial, unbeneficial?
- This film will include interviewing teachers and ask for their thoughts on giving students tests. Also, I would take to people who work for the college admissions office and listening to their thoughts about accepting or not accepting SAT or ACT scores.
How do we keep BBA a drug free campus?
- This film will include interviewing teachers and students about what policies should be made and how they personally feel about this topic. Coming up with ideas to protect our school and it's students.
First News Story
(Building a Championship Team)
The first news story was a great experience. I felt like I was the real deal when I was in front of the camera. It was a great learning experience for me as well. The process was tougher than I thought. Scheduling times to interview people to be in the film and also setting up the camera and lights. To find a place to film, set-up, and film took almost all the class time. Also, we screwed up some of the lines which took up time as well. Me and my group worked well together. Each person had their own job and we worked well together to finish all the interviews.
One thing we need to do better next time is being confident and reaching out to people who we want to interview. I was a little hesitant and nervous to reach out but after going through my first interview process I feel more confident. Also, I wasn't clear with meeting times to make these interviews happen so my video will be handed in a little late. We will continue in the editing process and should be ready to hand in our news story by Thursday when all the news stories will be published.
I just want to give a shoutout to me and my partners for helping me create a well done news story. My partners were Ben Swinarton, Devin Deets, and Will Simmers. Ben was my filmer along with Devin and Will did all the editing. Even though I was the one in front of the camera I couldn't have done it without those guys. Mr. Muench mentioned how film making is a team effort. After this process that is a very true statement. I am a three sport athlete and I know how the team process works. Our film isn't completely done but we will finish editing by Thursday, October 4. Mr. Muench will be able to publish it on the BBA News.
