Interview Process

Behind The Camera #1

Being behind the camera was a first time for me especially interviewing someone. I had to make sure the sound mic was on and the lighting was angled in the right position. It interest me to see how the interview process worked and the set-up that need to be down to create a good film. I liked to watch and listen to the questions being asked and the answers, I felt like a producer. It was a good first activity to get used to the camera.

Being The Interviewer #1

I interviewed Mary Turner, and it went pretty smoothly for my first time.  It was tougher than I thought. Especially when your put on the spot like that. Mary was easy to talk to and did great with my questions but coming up with questions was tough. I thought I had some good questions but I also thought some of my questions weren't necessary. Now I know what to expect and too make sure to ask more intriguing questions. For my first time I thought I did pretty good but their is definitely some things I need to work on.

Being Interviewed #1

Sadie Weston interviewed me and I thought she did a good job. I like to be in front of the camera and I felt good. It's always fun to get interviewed and I enjoyed the process. I like to be put on the spot but sometimes it's tough for me to process and saw my words on the spot. I was asked some good questions that related to me which was a good warm-up. I got to work on keeping my body still and being fluent with my words. Like I said above, I now know what to expect and I'm ready to do more interviews.

Being the Interviewer #2

I interviewed Ben Swinarton, it went pretty well. I thought I asked some good questions that he could talk and explain about. I still need to work on voice inflection and to be fluent with my speaking. I felt confident when asking my questions and kept better poise than before. As a keep building my confidence I believe I will start to get better with my interviews. I just need to be able to handle the spotlight meaning being confident in the moment. I like the interview practice and having this practice will help become better at speaking in front of the camera.

Being Interviewed #2

Being interviewed the second time felt better because I knew what to expect. I thought I did an alright job but their still is room for improvement. I still am getting use to being put on the spot but I feel good in front of the camera. I thought Ben did a good job asking me questions that related to me and were easy to answer. Like I have been saying, I like being in front of the camera and the ultimate goal is bring all the skills together and creating a great video. The two main things I need to work on is fluent speech and voice emphasis. All in all, I am excited for more activities like this.

Behind The Camera #2

Being behind the camera is pretty straight forward. Their are a couple of important things to remember though. You have to make sure the mic is on, the light is put in right spot to give interviewed person reflection, and also having the camera level with the interviewed person. If you get these things correct you will have a success interview. I made sure to have these things accurate and I ended up in the right position to film an interview. I have learned so much so far dealing with the camera and I'm excited to see if I can create a great film in the future.
